Communication is very important in creating a successful design. We ask a lot of questions in order to incorporate your ideas, family history and goals into the design. Practical issues such as budget and time frame desired are reviewed. We listen carefully to your wishes and we provide a clear outline of our recommendations. We walk you through all the aspects of the process so that everyone knows what to expect. Finally, we give you enough choices to make sure the design truly reflects your style, but not so many that you are confused.
Some clients schedule consultations on an "as needed" basis to answer a few questions or confirm a design direction. Other clients want to do a room at a time or a complete project. BELLA design offers all of those options. Additional services available include accessorizing new homes and "staging" homes for sale. Consultations begin at $100.

Making a house a beautiful home. That's what matters to Leta Mann, ASID, owner of BELLA design and a licensed interior designer in Tennessee for more than 23 years. Previously director of Nashville School of Design at Watkins, Leta's diverse experience includes corporate, hospital and residential design. No matter the setting, Leta's desire is simple and clear: create beautiful rooms at an affordable price.
Accessories are the final touch that can turn an everyday room into a knockout. They bring personality and warmth to a home. Because they set the mood and style of a space they are also a great way to change the design without totally re-doing a room from scratch.
If the thought of accessorizing a new home is overwhelming—or if you want an updated look without buying new furniture—our design team can come to the rescue.
The change is so dramatic most clients want to "keep it all"; however, you pay only for the designer's time spent at your home and for the accessories you choose to keep. You do not pay for shopping time spent locating the new items.
Initial visit: $150–$200.
Installation time: $100 per hour, usually about two hours per room.
Accessories: Price varies per your budget and items needed .

Staging a home doesn't always mean "reinventing the wheel". Experienced stagers, like Leta Mann, offer suggestions on how to make your house sell faster simply by working with what's already there. Priorities include: creating a great first impression, maximizing space and adding drama so that the house is memorable to the home buyers who will usually be comparing the house to many others on the market.
Consultation: A 1½ hour review is done of the exterior and interior of the home. The following items are addressed: paint colors, furniture and accessory suggestions, and recommendations of items to be repaired or replaced. At the end of the consultation the homeowner receives a list of specific suggestions to maximize their home's appeal.
Starting at $150.
Rearrangement: Our design staff will rearrange the furniture and use the existing accessories. We maximize space by simplifying the furniture in the rooms and create drama by placing the furniture to emphasize the best features of the house. The final step incorporates accessories to create an attractive ambiance. We will remove clutter and excess items for you to box up and place in storage. (If necessary, we can supply additional accessories for you to complete the look.)
4 hour minimum - $400
Additional Services: BELLA design can complete the items on your staging "To Do" list, saving you time and energy. We have a list of incredible painters, handymen and service people that we recommend. we are also available on a project or hourly basis to coordinate the contractors and improvements on your home.
BELLA design is committed to breathing a breath of fresh air into all sizes and shapes of living spaces, including condos and smaller homes. An empty home is especially important to stage because it can appear cold and lifeless.
BELLA design will provide creative design vignettes to set the stage for each room. Small groupings of furniture an accessories help the buyer visualize living in the space. We pay special attention to the kitchen, fireplace mantels, and built-in bookcases. The following items are carefully placed:
Consultation: Initial review including advice to improve the basic aesthetics such as paint, floor coverings, lighting and plumbing fixtures: $150.00
Vignettes: Starting at $500.00 for use up to 90 days.
Our model home staging services are all about first impressions that last.… Impressions that set your house apart from the multitude of houses on the market. We transform your model home into one that becomes memorable and compelling. A design package is created that includes the following:
Bonus: The furniture is owned by the builder to sell to the buyer or incorporate in the next model.
Price range: 10% to 12% of the home price.
Holidays are for creating memories of family gatherings, spending special times with friends, eating good food, attending holiday events and enjoying the smells of Christmas. However, participating in all these activities in addition to shopping and continuing your normal busy life does not leave much time for decorating.
BELLA design can transform your home with our holiday decorating service. You select Interior, Exterior or both! We begin at your mailbox with a design of fresh greenery, custom bows and special accents of magnolia leaves and giant pinecones. Garlands are swagged at the front door and handrails, a wreath is placed at the door and twinkle lights adorn potted evergreens at either side of the entry.
The aroma of our favorite cinnamon and spice potpourri welcomes you as you enter your home. We decorate your rooms with a custom theme that you select or we use your existing decorations and place them with the touch of professional designers. You decide the extent of decorating that you desire and if you want fresh or faux greenery. We decorate stairway handrails and balconies, entry halls, dining rooms, fireplace mantels, and up to 12' tall Christmas trees. (To get the best value for our time, the tree should be installed and the lights attached before we arrive.)
Free Design! If you are hosting your company holiday party the design fee and decorations could be a tax deduction! Talk to your accountant to see if that applies to you!
